Cathaoirleach for Arklow
Chamber Member, Cllr Tommy Annesley, has been elected as the new Cathaoirleach of Arklow Municipal District Council, taking over from outgoing Cathaoirleach Cllr Pat Kennedy
Clir. Annesley outlined what he would like to see happen in the town over the next year.
As Cathaoirleach he would like to finish projects that have been ongoing for a while, such as the rock armour on the South Beach and push for the groynes out into the sea to form a natural beach. He intends pushing for funding from the Department. An improvement for the business community is also on his agenda. He hopes the valuation officer to meet with the Chamber of Commerce and the public to explain how they reach a rateable valuation for properties.
