Below is a map of Arklow Heritage Walks & Trails.  These walks involve continuous walking at a moderate pace and two of them are wheelchair accessible, the Kynoch’s Walk and the Town Walk.  This map is published by the Arklow Heritage/Nature Walks Development Co. Ltd in association with Arklow Municipal Council.

THE WAY WE WERE EXHIBITION 

Arklows history is being kept in the hearts and minds of the community as local woman Mary Whelan opened the 2016 The Way We Were exhibition.  It features the local schools, the pottery, the harbour and various music groups and clubs.  The Way We Were runs until Friday October 14 and is open Monday to Saturday from 10am – 5pm at 29 Main Street across from Christys.

ARKLOW HARVEST FESTIVAL

The Arklow Parish Harvest Festival takes place at St Marys & Peters Church on Sunday October 9th at 3pm.  harvest-festival

This ecumenical service is open to people of all religious traditions and none.


 

 

 

 

 

ARKLOW YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH WEEK MONDAY 10TH – FRIDAY 14TH OCTOBER

The opening ceremony will take place on Monday 10th at 11am in the Arklow Bay Hotel and feature a number of guest speakers and presentations from all secondary schools and Youthreach as well as a talk from the newly formed youth mental health subgroup in association with the coutrywide BeWell programme.
