WORLD SUICIDE PREVENTION WEEK 2016

light up orange

World Suicide Prevention Week 2016 takes place between Monday, September 5th and Sunday, September 11th, with World Suicide Prevention Day on Saturday, 10th September. #WSPD16

Cycle Against Suicide is actively supporting this week through its initiative Light Up Orange. #LightUpOrange

Last year there was a huge response with many of Ireland’s iconic buildings, landmarks, historic castles and homes turning their lights orange to raise awareness of the message “It’s OK not to feel OK; and it’s absolutely OK to ask for help”.

To date they have had a great response, but their goal to Light Up Ireland needs support from Co. Wicklow. Maybe you could light one of your buildings up orange to create awareness of World Suicide Prevention Week, or even just light the building up at 8pm on Saturday, 10th September.

Contact Anne McGowan, Light Up Orange Co-Ordinator, by e-mail anne.mcgowan@cycleagainstsuicide.com or phone 087-2249204 if you can be a part of this years Light Up Orange.
