The Pottery Shop
It was with great sadness we heard this week that The Arklow Pottery Shop is closing its doors at the end of the month. The owners, Peter & Eileen Kinsella, have been in business on Lower Main Street since 17th July 1998, with Peter having previously managed the retail shop at Arklow Pottery for 14 years. He is pictured below with Mr. Sano, Managing Director of Noritake.
The Pottery Shop was noted for its wonderful window displays promoting whatever event or festival was on in the town. Their efforts won them 1st prize on many occasions and this year were narrowly beaten to 2nd place by McMullans for the Best Musical Themed Window during the 2016 Music Festival.
On behalf of the members of Arklow & District Chamber of Commerce, President Ann McGovern wishes Peter and Eileen the very best for the future and thanks them for their efforts in promoting retail business in Arklow.
