2016 Arklow Seabreeze Music & Arts Festival
Last Friday 2nd July saw the start of this year’s Arklow Seabreeze Music and Arts Festival with the crowning of the Seabreeze Princess. The six contestants were Cassie Doyle (Sally O’Briens), Stacey Gannon (The Gallery), Asia Jordan (Arklow Bay Hotel), Lasma Kalnaja (Christys), Victoria Kendrick (Darcy McGees) and Megan Stokes (The Bay Health & Leisure Club). The competition which was once again sponsored by the Bridgewater Shopping Centre was won by Asia Jordan. Asia is an employee of the Arklow Bay Hotel who she represented in the competition and being crowned Festival Princess was a wonderful way for her to celebrate her 21st birthday.
The gentlemen are well represented at the festival by Sean Hudson who was selected as Mr. Seabreeze in the Breffni on Saturday night.
Over the three days of the Seabreeze Music and Arts Festival there is something for everyone including the AGB Festival of Football in Pearse Park on Saturday, the Pipeband Competition and the Seabreeze Run on Sunday.
