2016 Arklow Music Festival

Arklow Music Window Display Winner 2016

The 47th Arklow Music Festival was another very successful event again this year!   Congratulations to all the participants who performed so well with the help of their teachers and parents.  Arklow owes a debt of gratitude to the voluntary committee for their hard work including John Bonner, Eileen Clandillon, Rhoda O’Connor, Roisin O’Neill, Peter Kearns, Jimmy Russell, Tony Fennell, Tommy Nolan, Bridget Greene, Marian O’Regan, Thomas Kelly and Jo Walker.

Well done to McMullans Boutique who won the inaugural perpetual trophy sponsored by Arklow Chamber of Commerce for Best Musical Window Display. Pictured are Liz Doyle and Deirdre Bentley of McMullans and Ann McGovern.  It was a close run thing as Peter and Eileen Kinsella in The Pottery Shop tied with the judges so it was given to the public vote on Facebook.  We look forward to a wonderful competition again next year.

2016 St Patrick’s Day Parade
