1916 Centenary Concert
Arklow Music and Arts will host a concert which will celebrate music from 1916, and songs that have a particular resonance with that time. The audience will be encouraged to wear period costumes from the early 20th century. There will be an official programme for the concert and as well as a professional sound system on the night. The concert will be professionally recorded by Eugene Whelan.
A concert to celebrate The Centenary of 1916 and raise funds for A Performance Arts Centre for Arklow featuring the cream of local Talent will take place on 6th May, Sts. Mary and Peters Church Arklow at 8 pm.

Arklow Lifeboat Station Event
Dan’s Lifeboat Special Hurry To The Curry will take place on Friday 29th January at 8 pm in the Arklow Bay Hotel. If you want a good night out in January, this is always a great night and all proceeds go to the Volunteers at Arklow Lifeboat Station.

Dancing Competition
Strictly Come Dancing Junior in association with Studio 55 is coming to Arklow. This is a fundraising event for students aged 18 and younger. Competitors will learn exciting dances such as the salsa, jive, quickstep, Cha Cha, waltz, Charleston and much more – leap into the spotlight and live like a star for the night!
They are currently looking for boys aged 18 and under to take on the challenge and to fundraise and represent their chosen group or club on the night. They will be partnered with a Studio 55 dancer – (auditions to be held).
All competitors will receive a sponsor card to fundraise with for their club.
Prizes on the night are as follows:
1st prize – €300
2nd prize – €200
3rd prize – €100.
Prize money will go to the winning club that was represented on the night.

Arklow Actors Training
One Day Drama Workshop with Arklow Actors Training will take place at the Lar Cullen Hall, Castlepark, Arklow on Sunday 24th January, from 11 am to 5 pm with a short lunchbreak (bring a packet lunch). Workshop fee is €50. No experience necessary, just bring comfy clothes and enthusiastic spirit!
