General Arrangement – Bridge Street/Main Street Junction
It is hoped that work will start on the Bridge Street/Main Street junction on the 29th October with a 6 week construction period, end date 11th December. This will generally be a night time scheme as most works will require a STOP/ GO system to have one lane closed. Hours permitted for this are 8pm to 6am. Road closures will be permitted for resurfacing works and these will take place at night time 8pm to 6 am. Diversions will be via M11 or via Avoca/Woodenbridge. Any queries can be addressed to Margaret Hartnett at email@example.com.
Congratulations to Avoca Camogie Team and Arklow Geraldines Ballymoney on their recent wins
Congratulations to the Avoca ladies who won the Senior ‘B’ Camogie Final in a replay against Ballinacor last weekend. Special congratulations from her ABEC colleagues to LAURA CREAN (circled) who played a huge part in this win.
Big congratulations also to Arklow Geraldines Ballymoney who won their first ever minor football championship last Sunday. They beat Blessington 2-12 to 0-09. Ray Mention of AGB said “These players came in at 6 and 7 years of age and have been working hard for 12 years towards this.” Darragh Fitzgerald was named man of the match by the media personnel.
