The 80’s night fundraiser in aid of Mary Hickey’s Lap of the Map has been rescheduled for March 24th from 8pm till late. Entry is €10 on the night. Fantastic prizes have been provided by local businesses for the raffle on the night.

Arklow Music Festival

The new dates for the Arklow Music Festival are now re-scheduled for Saturday 21st April to Sunday 29th April 2018. Arklow & District Chamber are once again delighted to sponsor the award for the “Best Musical Window Display” in conjunction with the annual Arklow Music Festival.

All local traders are continuously supportive of the Arklow Music Festival by decorating and displaying their windows with a musical theme.

The winner will be announced at the prize giving concert on Sunday the 29th of April, in St Mary’s Hall and will receive the “Best Musical Window Display Cup”.

 

Annual Auction at Pigeon Club

Arklow United Racing Pigeon Club will hold their annual open breeder/buyer auction on Sunday March 25th in the Harbour Bar Arklow from 2pm. Following this, there will be a presentation of prizes.

 

Race Night in Aid of Maritime Festival Arklow

A Race Night fundraising event for the Arklow Maritime Festival weekend will take place on Good Friday the 30th March at 8pm the Harbour Bar. A great night is promised with by music by Jimmy Reid.

  Rockview Artists

Arklow Library will host a new art exhibition featuring the works of Martha Duane and Muara Hann of Rockview Artists. The exhibition will open on Thursday March 15th at 7pm and run until the end of the month.

 Avonmore Musical Society “That’s Eurovision”

Avonmore Musical Society are looking for people to participate in their very own version of the Eurovision Song Contest with a winning prize of €500.

Cookery Demo

Arklow Rugby Club will host a cookery evening with well-known Irish Chef, Kevin Dundon in the Arklow Bay Hotel tonight, Friday March 23rd at 8pm. Doors open at 6.30pm

 Bridgewater Shopping Centre Craft Fair

The Arklow Craft Fair takes place in the Bridgewater Shopping Centre from 12 noon to 6pm on the first Sunday of every month.

Stalls will display an array of arts, crafts & giftware all of which have been created by local craftspeople and artists.

Black Tie Ball

This year marks the 70th Anniversary of Arklow Town Football Club. To celebrate, the club will host a Black-Tie Ball in the Arklow Bay Hotel on Saturday June 23rd. Further details will follow.

 

 

 

Lip Sync Fundraiser

Arklow United will host the towns first Lip Sync Fundraiser on Saturday October 13th in the Arklow Bay Hotel. This marks the clubs 40th Anniversary & will raise funds for local charities and for development of the Arklow United football club.

Participants are now being sought and can register through the Arklow United Lip Sync Facebook page. A selection process will take place at a later date.
