St Patrick’s Day Parade
The Arklow Town St Patrick’s Day Parade Committee have announced that the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place at the earlier time of 2pm on Saturday the 17th March.
This year’s parade will have a fun theme for floats “Bring your favourite book to life”. For anyone who wishes to participate in the parade, please complete and return the form to any of the committee members:

Reading Initiative Arklow Library
One Book One Community will be launched at Arklow Library on February 23rd between 10am & 12noon. The initiative will be launched with the novel “Far Away Home” by Marilyn Taylor.
This pilot project will run until March 22nd with 6th class students from St Johns and 1st year students from Glenart College reading the same book, completing quizzes, and meeting the author
Arklow History at Library
Arklow Library will be hosting a series of one-off lectures by local historian Pat Power. Admission is free. Please contact the library to book a place at 0402 39977.
Bridgewater Shopping Centre Craft Fair
The Arklow Craft Fair takes place in the Bridgewater Shopping Centre from 12 noon to 6pm on the first Sunday of every month.
Stalls will display an array of arts, crafts & giftware all of which have been created by local craftspeople and artists
Black Tie Ball
This year marks the 70th Anniversary of Arklow Town Football Club. To celebrate, the club will host a Black-Tie Ball in the Arklow Bay Hotel on Saturday June 23rd. Further details will follow.
Lip Sync Fundraiser
Arklow United will host the towns first Lip Sync Fundraiser on Saturday October 13th in the Arklow Bay Hotel. This marks the clubs 40th Anniversary & will raise funds for local charities and for development of the Arklow United football club.
Participants are now being sought and can register through the Arklow United Lip Sync Facebook page. A selection process will take place at a later date.
Story Time
Starbucks have teamed up with Eason’s to provide children with a free story time every Saturday at 11am. From now until the end of the year, bring children to the Starbucks kids’ corner for them to enjoy the story of the week!

Arklow Music Festival
Now in its 49th year, Arklow Music Festival will take place in a variety of venues across the town from Saturday March 3rd till Sunday, March 11th.
Entries for the festival are now open and are available online http://arklowmusicfestival.com/. These must be submitted to the festival office no later than Tuesday January 16th.
