Santa’s Arrival

Festive fun for all the family at Bridgewater Shopping Centre as Santa will be arriving on Sunday the 19th November from 11am – 3pm.

 

Christmas Market

 

The seventh annual Christmas market and craft fair will take place in Arus Lorcain, Castle Park Arklow, on Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th November from 11am – 5pm.

Over 40 stalls will display their unique hand crafted goods and Christmas gifts.

Admission is free, and Santa will arrive to officially launch the fair on Saturday at 12:30pm.

 

Fashion Show Extravaganza

St Michael & Peter Junior School will present “All I Want for Christmas” fashion show extravaganza on Friday November 24th at 8pm, in The Arklow Bay Hotel.

Carysfort Festive Fair

  

Carysfort National School will host their annual Christmas Fair on Saturday December 2nd from 10am – 4pm.

Stalls will display an array of arts, crafts & seasonal giftware. Santa will arrive at his grotto at 12pm. The day promises to have something for all the family!

Cruinniu Carols by Candlelight

 

The sixth annual Carols by Candlelight by Cruinniu will take place on Thursday December 14th at 8pm in St Mary & Peter church, Main St Arklow.

On the night there will also be performances by the Arklow Shipping Silver Band, accompanist John Bonner, Michael Flood and students of Mary Walsh.

Proceeds from this year’s concert will go towards the Martin Family Trust. Admission is €5.

 

 

St Saviours annual Fair

The Church of Ireland Community will hold their annual fair in the Malborough Hall on St Marys Road on Friday December 1st from 6pm.

A number of stalls selling a variety of products, and a raffle will be held on the night with some great prizes to be won.

Any money raised will go towards parish funding.

Bird keepers annual show

 The Arklow & District Bird keeping society will host their annual bird show on Saturday 18th November 4pm – 7pm & Sunday 19th November 9am – 2pm in the Arklow Sports Leisure Centre.

The bird show will run in conjunction with the 41st Irish Fancy Society and the 17th Southern Norwich Society.

Over 1600 birds of different variations will be on display. Admission is €3, and children are free.

 Photography Exhibition

Brian McIIvenny, a Co Wicklow photographer will present his latest exhibition “Monolith” for the month of November at Arklow Library.

“Monolith” is an exhibition of monochrome lith prints spanning 20 years of work in traditional film photography techniques.

This exhibition was officially launched by author & Sunday Independent journalist Declan Lynch.
