Arklow Art Exhibition
An Exhibition on new oil paintings will run at the Arklow Gallery on Main Street until Friday, September 15th.
Artist Helen was born in Stratford-upon-Avon in England and moved to Ireland in 1980 with her husband and children.
Her interest in painting started after she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1989. Helen had no formal training, but working with water colours for a number of years she decided to turn them into oils.
Helen has brought her work to Dublin, Carlow and Kilkenny Arts Festival.
Her work is a private collection across Ireland, Britain, Italy, Japan, US and Canada. Her designs have been used for Christmas cards for both MS Society and Irish Wheelchair Association.
She has also presented one of her paintings to the former President Mary McAleese.
Admission is free and all are welcome to call in and view the paintings.
