Free parking in Council owned car parks from Friday 2nd December 2016 up to Monday 2nd January 2017 inclusive. Free parking on the street will be restricted to two hours from Friday 2nd December 2016 up to Monday 2nd January 2017 inclusive.
ARKLOW SANTA DASH
SATURDAY 17TH 4PM
This year’s Santa dash fun run/walk will begin at St Saviours Church and finish at the bandstand on Main Street where there will be music and entertainment. This is a free event and participants should just turn up in their Santa Suit or Christmas jumpers
CRUINNIU
Arklow was well represented at the Leinster House tree lighting ceremony recently as Cruinniu choir was invited to sing at the occasion. Cruinniu members had a fantastic time at this special festive event where they had the privilege of singing a medley of carols in the grounds of Leinster House for the duration of the tree lighting ceremony. This was followed by a reception where the choir received excellent feedback on their performance.

ARKLOW SHIPPING SILVER BAND
On Saturday December 17th they will be playing a selection of many favourite Christmas tunes when they give a recital in the Bridgewater Shopping Centre from 2pm. On Sunday 18th they will be performing at the Annual Carol Service in St Marys and Peters Church starting at 4pm and they will finish off the day with a carol service in the Arklow Methodist Church at 7.30pm















Arklow Municipal District recently honoured the intermediate and minor teams from Arklow Geraldines Ballymoney Club who won their county championships this year. Over 60 representatives from the AGB Club received a civic reception for their achievements and both teams were presented with an engraved plaque to commemorate the occasion. Cathaoirleach of Arklow Municipal District, Pat Kennedy, and Chairman of Wicklow County Council, Pat Fitzgerald, congratulated both teams and their backroom staff. Jimmy Dunne who is Club Secretary of AGB Club said these victories were not just sporting achievement but have wide reaching benefits for business in Arklow and raised the morale of the town.
