Registration is open for Darkness into Light
From 400 people at the first Darkness into Light in 2009 to 180,000 people last year, DIL has become a movement in more ways than one across Ireland and all over the world.

May Day Appeal
The RNLIs May Day event began yesterday the 1st May, and will run for the rest of the month, with fundraising taking place around Arklow and across the nation.
The RNLI can be supported by purchasing crew pin badges, hosting the own fundraising events or indeed supporting local events including the annual 5k/10k fun run which takes place this Sunday May 6th from Coral Leisure @ 11am.
Wicklow Hospice Charity Event 20th May
There will be a bus available from Arklow stopping in Aughrim and going to and from Macreddin for the Night of Music and Fun in memory of Nora Lalor and Bernie Tyrrell. Pick up at 6:30pm outside the Church of St Mary and Peter, continuing onto Aughrim for a pick up at the national school in Aughrim for 7pm.

Arklow Sea breeze Festival
The Arklow Seabreeze Music and Arts Festival takes place this year from Sunday 1st July right up to the main part of the Festival which this year runs from Friday 20th July – Sunday 22nd July. We are currently looking for contestants to take part in the Bridgwater Seabreeze Princess competition which will take place on Sunday 1st July. Prizes valued of up to €1000 from The Bridgewater Shopping Centre this year.
Entries are currently being accepted by the committee and all participants must be over 18 years of age by 1st July to be eligible. The Bridgewater S.C. have once come on board to sponsor this competition and a specially commissioned Tiara hand made by John Swan jewelers will go to this year’s winner.

Bridgewater Shopping Centre Craft Fair
The Arklow Craft Fair takes place in the Bridgewater Shopping Centre from 12 noon to 6pm on the first Sunday of every month.
Stalls will display an array of arts, crafts & giftware all of which have been created by local craftspeople and artists.T&Cs apply.
Black Tie Ball
This year marks the 70th Anniversary of Arklow Town Football Club. To celebrate, the club will host a Black-Tie Ball in the Arklow Bay Hotel on Saturday June 23rd. Tickets are €25 each and available to purchase through the Arklow Bay Hotel and the football club.
