ARKLOW BLOOMS FOR 2017 – FLOWER BASKET SCHEME
Arklow Town Team support by the Arklow Municipal District (AMD) has introduced a Flower Basket Scheme for businesses in the Town. Research has shown that this type of scheme can bring many social and environmental benefits to a town. At the May meeting of AMD it was agreed that €2,500 would be provided for three tier flower baskets for Arklow town centre.
For a contribution of €35 per basket participants in the scheme will receive the following:-
- A fully planted 16” flower basket (with plant food and water crystals)
- Wall Bracket mounted on building by AMD staff
- Watering of baskets during the period June to September 5 times per week x 16 weeks, (3 times by a contractor engaged by AMD and 2 times by Arklow Tidy Towns). However, businesses are requested to supplement watering too.
Businesses located out of the Main Town area might consider sponsoring a basket which could be erected on one of the unused buildings in the town.
Baskets will be delivered by the first week in June and collected at the end of September for reuse in 2018. If your business is interested in contributing to making Arklow boom for 2017 please complete your details on the flyer above, indicating the number of baskets required and payment enclosed.
