ARKLOW BLOOMS FOR 2017 – FLOWER BASKET SCHEME
To enhance and improve the image of Arklow’s Main Street (Wexford Road to Lower Main Street) the Town Team proposes to introduce a Flower Basket Scheme for businesses in the Town. Research has shown that this type of scheme can bring many social and environmental benefits to a town. This project is being supported by Arklow Municipal District (AMD).
Businesses located out of the Main Town area might consider sponsoring a basket which could be erected on one of the unused buildings in the town.
Let’s make Arklow Bloom for 2017
For a contribution of €35 per basket participants in the scheme will receive the following:
- A fully planted 16” flower basket (with plant food and water crystals)
- Wall Bracket mounted on building by AMD staff
- Watering of baskets during the period June to September 5 times per week x 16 weeks, (3 times by a contractor engaged by AMD and 2 times by Arklow Tidy Towns). However, businesses are requested to supplement watering too.
If your business is interested in participating in the Flower Basket Scheme download the form and return it together with payment for the number of baskets required to Arklow Town Team c/o Linda McDonald, Arklow Municipal District, Castle Park, Arklow. Co. Wicklow. Your details may also be emailed to email@example.com . Cheques should be made payable to Arklow Town Team. If you require any further details on the scheme please contact Deirdre Bentley at 086 8108627 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Baskets will be delivered by the first week in June and collected at the end of September for reuse in 2018.
