Arklow This Week
RNLI Mayday 2017
This May, the RNLI are asking for help kit out their courageous volunteer lifeboat crew. Sign up for a fundraising pack and help provide them with the equipment they need to save lives at sea. They depend on their kit to help them save lives – and to bring them home safely. Their target for 2017 is €835,650 and any money raised over and above this amount will go towards funding the RNLI lifesaving work around Ireland and the U.K. Click on the boot to get your fundraising pack.
Arklow Seabreeze Festival
Arklow Seabreeze Festival has been running for over 30 years and is currently one of the biggest community based Festivals on the East Coast. In addition to providing free entertainment & fun activities for the people of Arklow, it is a major boost to tourism and retail in our town. The festival is also a platform for local talent and brings up to 20,000 people onto the Main Street of Arklow over its duration in July each year. This year’s Festival runs from Sun 2nd July – Sun 16th July.
They totally rely totally on the generosity of the local community to run the festival which costs in the region of €25K annually, therefore they are looking for 2017. There is a number of sponsorship opportunities available which might be of interest to a local company, ranging from small donations, to being named and advertised as the main sponsor of a particular event. See letter from Colm Moules, Chairman of Arklow Seabreeze Festival 2017.
